This policy explains what information Mengle collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Mengle you agree to this policy.

Who we are

Mengle is a random video chat app operated by Vineet (“we”, “us”). Questions about privacy: technoapps62@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google user ID, display name, and profile photo URL. We may also create an anonymous or email-linked Firebase Auth account.
Profile and matching. Display name, online/searching state, and match IDs needed to pair you with another user.
Call signaling. WebRTC session descriptions and ICE candidates stored briefly so a call can connect. Live camera and microphone are streamed peer-to-peer (or via a relay) for the duration of the call. We do not record or store call video or audio on our servers.
Device and diagnostics. Basic device and app information, crash/log data, and network type as needed to run matching and calls.
Advertising. Mengle shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect advertising ID, IP address, device identifiers, approximate location, and interaction with ads, subject to your consent choices where required.

We do not sell your personal information.

Permissions

Mengle requests camera and microphone so you can video chat. You can deny or revoke these in Android settings. Without them, video chat will not work. The app also uses internet access and, for ads, the advertising ID.

Ads and third parties

We use Google AdMob and Google’s User Messaging Platform for consent in regions that require it (for example the EEA/UK). Google’s use of data is described here:

You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in Android settings (Google → Ads) and, where shown in Mengle, via Ads & privacy.

Firebase and other processors

We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Realtime Database, Cloud Functions, Hosting) to run the app. Google may process data on our behalf under their terms. TURN/STUN servers may be used so calls work on mobile networks; they relay media for the call and are not used by us to store recordings.

Retention

Account and profile data are kept while you use Mengle. Match and signaling data are ephemeral. You can request deletion of your account data by emailing technoapps62@gmail.com. We may keep limited records if required by law or to prevent abuse.

Children

Mengle is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete the account.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to withdraw consent for personalized ads. Contact technoapps62@gmail.com. EEA/UK users can also complain to their local data protection authority.

Security

We use industry-standard services (Firebase, HTTPS, encrypted WebRTC). No method of transmission is 100% secure.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
